HOW WE DO BUSINESS
Code of Ethics
This code sets out how everyone at Jump Start Meats is expected to act: at your door, on the phone, on the road and behind the scenes. It supports our mission and guiding principles.
Honest selling
We describe our products accurately, including cut, size, quantity and storage needs. Prices are clear before you buy, with nothing hidden. We never use pressure tactics. You can say no, ask questions or take time to decide, and we will respect that.
Safe food, every step
We store, handle and deliver food by safe food-handling practices and the requirements that apply to us, keeping frozen products frozen from our storage to your door. If something isn’t right with the product or its condition on arrival, we want to hear about it.
Owning our mistakes
When we get something wrong, we say so and work to make it right. We listen to concerns, respond promptly and aim for a fair resolution.
Respect for everyone
We treat customers, colleagues, suppliers and community partners with courtesy and dignity. Harassment and discrimination have no place in our workplace or our interactions with the public.
Your information
We collect only the customer information we need to serve you. We protect it, use it only for the purposes you would expect, and respect your communication preferences, including requests to stop contact.
Fair dealing with suppliers
We choose and work with suppliers fairly and honestly, and we keep our commitments to them. Anyone acting for the company discloses any personal interest that could affect a business decision.
Truthful community claims
Any statement we make about charitable support is accurate and can be verified. We do not overstate our contributions or suggest that any organization endorses us without its permission.
Speaking up
Anyone, whether a customer, team member or supplier, can raise a concern about conduct that doesn’t meet this code by emailing info@jsmeats.com. Concerns are taken seriously and reviewed by the owners. No one will face retaliation for raising a concern in good faith.
We will review this code as Jump Start Meats grows.
